The opening ceremony was attended by: Erzurum Governor Aydın Baruş, Erzurum Metropolitan Mayor Mehmet Sekmen, Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) President and Türk Ticaret Bankası Board Vice Chairman Mustafa Gültepe, Türk Ticaret Bankası Board Member and General Manager İlker Yeşil, and Eastern Anatolia Exporters’ Union (DAİB) President Ethem Tanrıver, as well as numerous exporters operating in the region.
Speaking at the opening ceremony,TİM President and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Türk Ticaret Bankası Mustafa Gültepe emphasized the importance of production and exports for the Turkish economy. Stating that they are working toward the goal of bringing Turkey into the top 10 exporting nations, Gültepe said:“To achieve this ambitious goal, we must invest more in high technology, R&D, and innovation, and turn the digital and green transitions into opportunities for our country. Access to affordable financing for our exporters is of great importance for all these efforts. “Through İGE A.Ş., Türk Ticaret Bankası provides companies with direct, fast, and favorable financing, supporting our production capacity and export-led development vision.. I believe our Erzurum Branch will undertake a crucial mission in meeting the financing needs of over 2,300 exporters in the region.”
İlker Yeşil, Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Türk Ticaret Bankası, stated that they plan to support exporters at every step not merely as a financial institution but as a strategic partner. Yeşil, who announced that the bank aims to increase its total financing support—which reached 76.3 billion TL in 2025—to 110billion TL this year, continued:“We are focused on the export ecosystem. We are working to ensure exporters are prepared not only for their current needs but also for the challenges they may face in the future, and we are continuously improving our business models to help them capitalize on opportunities in global competition. We support the public sector’s ongoing efforts to build this ecosystem and aim to be a key player in the financial sector within the resulting structure. While offering our exporters all banking products—both credit and non-credit banking products—as well as insurance services, we provide investment and asset management products, including deposits, to our non-exporting corporate and individual customers.”
DAİB President Ethem Tanrıver also stated that they are working with the goal of maximizing the region’s export potential. Tanrıver continued: “As we pursue this goal, we are delighted that Türk Ticaret Bankası—which we view as a strong partner—is opening a branch under the roof of our service building.
Thanks to this significant step, our exporters will now have direct access to financing and will be able to obtain the solutions they need for their foreign trade processes without delay. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the region’s competitiveness and benefit both our members and the country..”
